Grundfos CME Booster 3-4 Single Phase Automatic Pump
CM Booster Self-Priming Pump
Grundfos CM Booster Self-Priming pumps are a compact booster pump designed for domestic and light industrial use.
The booster unit consists of a robust multistage centrifugal pump and a generator friendly PM1 or PM2 Pressure Manager.
The Pressure Manager allows the pump to start and stop automatically according to demand and protects the pump from dry running.
The CM Booster Self-Priming is the perfect solution if you are struggling with insufficient mains pressure, and can also be used with above or below groundwater sources.
- Mains water pressure boosting
- Rainwater supply from above ground water tanks
- Rainwater supply from below ground water tanks
- Rainwater supply from other below ground water sources – dams/rivers
With a suction lift of up to 8 metres (self-priming up to 4 metres), the CM Booster Self-Priming is ideal for pressurising
water from above or below ground water sources.
All wetted parts are made from high quality, corrosion resistant stainless steel to ensure the longest life possible.
The pump features a user-friendly interface with LED indicators displaying power status, pump running, alarm
indication and pressure indication (excluding CMB-SP 1-36).
The pump incorporates a range of protective features such as; dry run protection, thermal overload protection, cycling alarm and maximum continuous operation time – 30 mins (excluding CMB-SP 1-36) to protect the pump and ensure a long life.
The booster unit is a compact and adaptable solution, which makes it suitable for most installations. Simply connect the inlet and outlet and adjust the start pressure to suit individual requirements and you have a fully operational booster unit.
Integrated non-return valve
Non-return valve for backflow prevention.
The Grundfos CM/CME has high reliability built in. A well-defined and rock-solid clamping of the pump impellers combined with a NORD-LOCK washer at the other end of the pump stack creates a robust and reliable design. Previous industry-wide problems with shaft seals sticking where SIC-SIC seal faces are used have been
eliminated. The new CM/CME solution builds on both the implementation of a rotation stop on the stationary ring and the presence of different surfaced finishings on the stationary and the rotating ring.
The Grundfos CM/CME pumps are designed for use in a variety of applications, including:
Washing and cleaning
- De greasing and washing of production equipment
- Washing machines
- Mobile washing units Units for CIP (Cleaning In Place)
- Electronic data processing
- Laser equipment
- Industrial refrigeration
- Heating and cooling in industrial processes
- Reverse osmosis
- Ultra-filtration systems
- Softening, ionising, demineralising systems
- Dead-end filtration
Chemical and Pharmaceutical industries
- Distilling systems
- Liquid boosting and transfer
Certain dimensions have been reduced by more than 30% compared to corresponding pumps without compromising the overall pump performance.
The Grundfos CM5-4 features for example dimensions that take up less physical space:
- Width: reduced by over 30%
- Height: reduced by almost 25%
- Length: reduced by almost 10%.
Reducing the pump dimensions was only possible due to the use of advanced processes and technologies.
2 Year Manufacturers Warranty (Optional Extension period is also available)
Please Note: This pump needs to be installed in a building or under a pump cover as well as being installed off the ground.
Incorrect installation may void the manufacturers warranty.
